Hydrogen Compressors with         Liquid Ring Technology

As an energy carrier, hydrogen can play a significant role in energy security, carbon reduction and economic growth. As governments, businesses and energy consumers continue to recognize the need for net-zero emissions, deployment and investments in hydrogen are accelerating rapidly.

Hydrogen compressors design expertise

Hydrogen compressors have been the core products of Nash for more than 50 years already. Nash liquid ring compressors are ideally suited to handle pure or water-saturated hydrogen and any kind of gas mixtures containing hydrogen. Our liquid ring compressors are the easiest and safest machines to handle potentially explosive gasses and to comply with Directives like Atex. The low molecular weight of hydrogen is taken into consideration by our engineers when we size our compressors based on our long experience.

Traditionally, applications for hydrogen compressors included Chlorine electrolyser and many chemical applications like the production of hydrogen peroxide (HPPO).

Our hydrogen compressors’ range consists of different models suited for various process requirements.

Hydrogen Compressors Range

The newer applications related to green and environmentally friendly technologies include fuel cells and electrolysis for hydrogen production. It is essential for Nash to contribute with our products to these technologies that will reduce greenhouse gases. Therefore we have developed energy-optimized and extremely reliable products which are ideally suited to directly compress wet hydrogen fluctuation free and up to pressures of 8bara in two-stage arrangements. Our single-stage compressors can handle capacities of more than 20.000 m³/h, which is important to reduce the number of compressors in large scale industrial electrolysers and thus reduce the overall footprint and investment costs.

Advantages of NASH Hydrogen Compressors

NASH liquid ring compressors require minimal care and low maintenance. Our compressors reduce power and operating costs by handling higher capacities with less energy, and provide the following features and benefits:

  • DEMANDING ENVIRONMENT
  • LOW MAINTENANCE ENVIRONMENT
  • RELIABLE & EFFICIENT
  • SAFE SOLUTION, NO LEAKS
  • RELIABLE HYDRAULICS
