WOB-L® Piston Pumps & Compressors
Selecting WOB-L® Pumps
WOB-L® pump technology covers a wide range of applications due to the breadth of product platforms and performance capability. WOB-L® piston pumps are able to provide higher pressure and flow capabilities, than many other pump technologies, in a much smaller package. Application expertise enables Thomas to tailor pump performance to a specific application. A wide variety of motors are available, ranging from brushed and brushless DC to numerous AC motors that can operate anywhere in the world. Economic service kits are available for selected models.
WOB-L® Piston Pumps for a Variety of OEM Applications
WOB-L® piston pumps the best choice for medical, food, or environmental applications that require long life and high performance. Piston pumps used in the medical market are often selected for the high quality and reliability. Oxygen concentrators and other respiratory applications need reliable subcomponents to provide critical therapy to patients.
Thomas oil-less piston pumps contain corrosion-resistant materials suitable for industrial and mobile applications. Air suspension systems rely on a pump that performs regardless of operating in an unclean or harsh environment.
Thomas WOB-L® Piston Pumps for Different Needs
Thomas pump technologies offer gas flow solutions for a variety of industries. Thomas is the only fractional horsepower manufacturer with a state-of-the-art aluminum die-casting facility. Thomas also has on-site regulatory testing, injection molding, and 3D printing capabilities.
WOB-L® pump series offers maximum continuous vacuum capability up to 980 mbar (98% local barometer) and maximum continuous pressure capability up to 12 bar (175 psi). The wide range of performance and applications is demonstrated in the pump series listed below:
2110Z Series: The compact, lightweight 2110 piston pump can be used in applications that require portability or low power consumption. The 2110 is available with aluminum or magnesium components. Magnesium components reduce the mass by 60g compared to aluminum components. 2110Z applications consist of portable oxygen concentrators and portable, battery-operated devices.
2380 Series: The 2380 series is a traditional WOB-L® piston pump utilizing design for manufacturing processes to provide consistent and high quality product. The refreshed design of the 2380 was for ease of manufacture. Applications include oxygen concentrators, clinical aspirators, nitrogen generators, and dental equipment.
319 Series: The 319 series is a high end product which can be customized based on requirements from the user. High quality components (bearings, wetted components) provide optimal lifetime. The 319 series pumps are often selected for applications ranging from medical to mobile, due to the corrosion-resistant components and high pressure capability.
2250 Series: The unique 2250 pump series has independent vacuum and pressure heads. The 2250 is available with a BLDC motor for controllability. Applications consist of portable oxygen concentrators, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
2755 Series: The 2755 series offers the highest performance within the WOB-L® platform, providing maximum open flow up to 212 l/min (7.5 cfm), maximum continuous pressure up to 12.1 bar (175 psi), and maximum continuous vacuum up to 980 mbar (98% local barometer).
The 2755 is suitable for applications requiring high performance due to robust components in medical, industrial, and laboratory markets.
