FUEL GRADE INDICATOR
Fuel Product Grade

EMCO Wheaton’s fuel product grade indicator is fitted directly above each loading or discharging API adapter.

It allows an operator to check and set the product grade for each compartment on a tank truck, and its pneumatic controls open the bottom valve to support loading and unloading in one place.

With other road tanker pneumatic systems, the bottom controls are housed in a box separate from the delivery valves.

This means deliveries take longer and there’s increased threat of contamination. EMCO Wheaton’s fuel product grade indicator solves these problems by supporting both functions from the same position.

The product has been developed based on discussions with operators and drivers across industry.

Those who have tried it says it’s safer, easier to install and easier to identify faults when compared to more traditional centralised control box systems. Users have also noted that the lockable variation reduces the chances of delivery error as it will only allow an operator to rotate the grade selector barrel when the foot valve is opened.

EMCO Wheaton’s fuel product grade indicator is made from stainless steel, aluminium and Delrin, and is fitted with Viton seals as standard. It has a working temperature range of: -20°C to +70°C and a maximum air pressure of 10 bar (145 psi). Total weight is 1.2kg (2.64 lbs).

This product is available in four different variants offering both six- and 10-product grades:
