Oberdorfer™ launches lead-free gear pumps for the Maple Syrup Industry.

Since its first release in 1890, the Oberdorfer line of pumps by Gardner Denver has continued to propel the pumping industry forward in more than 30 countries. Manufactured in the U.S., Gardner Denver continues its legacy of innovation in manufacturing and design with the release of the new NL4000L & NL9000L gear pumps for the Maple Syrup industry.

Engineered to meet maple syrup lead level regulations as well as deliver value and performance; the new line of Oberdorfer NL4000L & NL9000L lead-free external gear pumps produce efficient and reliable flow for sugarhouse maple sugar filter press and maple cream machinery, to meet consumers demand for high-quality maple syrup and maple cream for confectionery delights.

  • Lead-Free: The body of the pump is made of C89833 (a lead-free alloy). Shafts are made of stainless steel. Gears are made of PEEK (a high temperature polymer) and stainless steel for filter press pumps (NL4000L) and made of C89833 for maple cream pumps (NL9000L, NL3000L & NL7000L).
  • Increased durability: PEEK and stainless steel gear combination (for the NL4000L filter press gear pump) extends the life of the pump by reducing wear from Diatomaceous Earth (DE) and sugar sand.
  • Quality and affordability: While improving quality and durability, it also retained the same footprint and value that characterize Oberdorfer line of pumps by Gardner Denver.
  • Quiet Operation: Helical gears reduce noise levels.
  • Performance: Unlike other technologies and brands, the Oberdorfer line of gear pumps are able to pump consistently and reliably at high pressure differentials (up to 150 PSI) and temperatures (up to 230°F).

For those seeking a best-in-class lead-free pump, the new line of Oberdorfer NL Series pumps by Gardner Denver set a benchmark for performance, operational efficiencies and meet the highest possible standards. The table below provides high level product specifications. Each of the NL Series pumps is offered with a selection of seals and relief valves to match application requirements.
