The blower expands and contracts as it gets hotter or cooler, creating stress between the blower flange and whatever it is connected to. Our piping isolators are installed to prevent stress on the piping, flanges, or blower. If piping isolators are not installed, then the stress on the blower flange will exceed the allowable limits breaking the pipe or blower flange, and the vibration levels will exceed normal levels causing premature bearing failure.
