Gardner Denver blower and compressor innovationsat water industry showcase

Gardner Denver will be showcasing its extensive range of air compressor and blower solutions for the water and wastewater industry at The Water Equipment Show.

Organised by Pump Centre, the event at Telford’s International Centre on May 16 will attract visitors from the entire supply chain. Gardner Denver will be displaying blower and compressor products from its Robuschi and Elmo Rietschle brands, including its brand new Robox Direct, designed to deliver low lifecycle costs through reduced energy consumption.

Robox Direct

Launched at this year’s show is the new Robox Direct, a positive displacement blower from Robuschi with enhanced efficiency to help lower lifecycle costs. The blower uses a direct-driven motor that operates without gears or belts, maximising performance and moderating flow according to the application. Regulated speed also ensures no energy is wasted, which results in an eight per cent efficiency increase when compared with a traditional lobe belt transmission version.

With a footprint 33 per cent smaller than conventional designs, the unit is engineered to save space without sacrificing efficiency, or performance. It can also be quickly and easily integrated into an existing compressor room and is suitable for upgrading plants.

Reducing the number of components boosts its reliability, offering enviable uptime capabilities and low servicing costs. Robox Direct is available with a pressure range up to 1,000 mbar (g), volume flow up to 700 m3/hr, and motor power at either 22 or 30 kW.

Robox Energy IMPACT 4.0 Screw Blower

Robox Energy can cut operating costs by half thanks to a unique combination of a screw compressor with a permanent magnet motor fitted to the conductor shaft. It offers a pressure range up to 1,000 mbar (g), volume flow up to 2,600 m3/hr, and motor power at 37-85 kW.

Featuring an innovative touch screen control panel, Robox Energy is user friendly with an intuitive menu and is easy to programme. Oxygen data from the process is monitored directly and the blower adjusts the operating parameters accordingly without any interruption to the process.

The unit requires approximately 30 per cent less space than comparable units, ideal where space in the compressor room is at a premium.

Elmo Rietschle C-DLR Zephyr

The dry running C-Series offers energy efficiency with reduced maintenance. A contact-free design, where only the gear box and bearings are oil lubricated, results in higher air volume per horsepower.

With capacities ranging from 60 to 600 m3/h, and maximum pressure in operation up to 2.2 bar, the C-DLR Zephyr compressor features integrated cooling without any additional cooling medium and is easy to maintain. ATEX-compliant versions are also available.

Elmo Rietschle G-Series Side Channel

Reliable, built to last and virtually maintenance free, G-Series blowers are available in a wide selection for performance ranges up to 3,000 m3/h and differential pressures of up to 1,000 mbar.

The low noise G-BH1 has a high inlet volume flow up to 2,500 m3/h and a differential pressure of up to 780 mbar. Highly reliable, the blower delivers 20,000 operating hours and is virtually maintenance free.

Attracting more than 1,000 senior-level UK water industry attendees, The Water Equipment Show is a leading platform for top manufacturers, suppliers and contractors.

Russell Frost, Gardner Denver Wastewater Treatment Sector Manager said: “We are proud to be showcasing our premium performance blower and compressor solutions at this high-profile event.
