Diaphragm compressors and vacuum pumps are designed to transfer various gases, even with particles. The diaphragm technology provides high efficiency, sealed air flow capability, and platform modularity. Thanks to that, these positive displacement pumps can successfully be used as a vacuum pump or compressor.
Thomas diaphragm pumps and compressors are characterized by the leak-proof chamber, operational water vapor tolerance, and outstanding chemical compatibility. Our engineers achieved excellent size to performance ratio and full controllability over the working point.
Our state-of-the-art engineering and design guarantees sealed air path and reliability. We provide a selection of materials for the pump head and membrane based on a chemical resistance to the media being transferred. Our customers can choose the material for diaphragm and valves among EPDM, FKM (Viton), Silicone, NBR (Perbunan), PTFE (Teflon), depending on the model selected.
We provide both AC and DC motors with variants, ranging from low-cost DC up to brushless DC, to drive the unit. Membrane pumps can use pump heads with single, twin, or Z-version motors. Our diaphragm units can work in series or parallel configuration. What's more, smaller devices, can replace multiple pumps with one Thomas pump unit.
Thomas diaphragm pumps for gases, vacuum pumps and compressors provide a flow rate ranging from 0.010 cfm (300 ml/min) up to 3.2 cfm (91 l/min), with a vacuum to 1 mbar abs (29.2 in.Hg), and the pressure up to 3.0 bar (44 psi).
Our engineers take the extra mile to meet the most rigorous application and project requirements. One size does not fit all. That’s why the Thomas diaphragm pump platform can be extensively customized, depending on the model series, giving you virtually unlimited configuration options.
This allows us to provide one of the most extensive variety of diaphragm pumps for gases, vacuum pumps and compressors on the market. Our 27 series combines with various configurations, to build a selection of over 100,000 units.
Diaphragm pumps and compressors offer high efficiency, sealed air chamber, and low sound levels, making them a perfect fit for a various industries and applications. They hold a proven track record of successful utilization in various applications, wherever efficient, compact vacuum pumps or compressors are required. That’s why mission-critical and portable devices that use our BLDC driven pumps and compressors can proudly deliver performance for over 10.000+ hours.
Diaphragm pumps and compressors work by reducing a volume from the pump chamber using a flexible membrane in the pump head. A crank moves the pump head through the eccentric motion on the motor shaft. These positive displacement pumps feature the leak-proof pump chamber, operational water vapor tolerance, and outstanding chemical compatibility. The design allows them to transfer various gases even with particles.
Thomas' engineers were able to achieve excellent size to performance ratio and full controllability over the working point. Thanks to that, these units are successfully used as a vacuum pump or compressor.
