The TODO NGX Marine BreakAway coupling has been designed to eliminate spillages and damage to equipment aboard ships during loading and unloading of hazardous liquids.
Like TODO’s standard NGX BreakAway, it features a market-leading flow rate and low pressure drop for safe and efficient transfer. This product is made to withstand tidal motion and will only disconnect in the event of excessive straight-pull load.
Over the years, TODO has worked closely with customers in the offshore sector to develop products that are best matched to the unique conditions found in marine environments. The NGX Marine Break-Away coupling is no exception.
The NGX Marine BreakAway comes in 2-4” sizes and is shipped with 3mm pins as standard. However, it can be configured according to a customer’s specific needs. See the table below for a full list of possible end connections and O-ring grades.
With a working temperature range of -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F), the NGX Marine unit can rise to any challenge in the field. TODO is committed to providing the highest quality products made of the best materials. Due to the harsh conditions found at sea, this item is only available in 316 L grade stainless steel.

This product is designed and built for customers in the offshore sector. If excessive load is detected, the coupler shuts the valves and initiates disconnection. This assures operator safety and minimises damage when loading and offloading hazardous product aboard ships. To maintain high standards, all products in the TODO offshore range are subject to stringent assessments from notified bodies like the American Bureau of Shipping.
