Peristaltic pumps are your ally when you need to dose or dispense the fluid with high accuracy without cross-contamination. They can be used to pump a variety of liquids such as water, blood, sterile or aggressive fluids or suspended solid.
Thomas offers self-priming, dry-running peristaltic pumps designed to simplify maintenance and focus on ease of use. Peristaltic pumps are a perfect solution for pumping shear-sensitive substances because this pump technology can move liquids gently and smoothly.
Our pumps offer flow rates in the range from less than 0.1 ml/min up to 3000 ml/min. Special models can handle high pressures of up to 10 bar.
Our tubing pumps are driven by AC, DC, and Stepper motors and can operate clockwise or in reverse. What’s more, the pump system can perform a short time or continuous operation. That’s why each OEM can find the right product suitable for its application.
The tube pumps, as they are often referred to, have one substantial benefit: accurate dispensing or metering with no risk of cross-contamination. This advantage makes Thomas units ideal industrial peristaltic pumps and medical peristaltic pumps suitable for a wide range of industries and applications.
For example, in medical or laboratory devices, peristaltic pumps can be used for processing of sterile fluids, dialysis, filtration, or bioprocessing. In food, agriculture, or disinfection processes, they can be used for dispensing food or beverages, vitamins or chemicals. It also can be used for wastewater treatment or other environmental application such as condensate removal in gas analysis.

Main Industrial Applications:
Thomas engineers can customize our peristaltic hose pumps by modifying the pump head parts, motor, and tube to meet your specific requirements. Thomas offers different tubing materials suitable for a variety of fluids, depending on your needs.
The new addition to Thomas portfolio, Oina brand, specializes in customized solutions for liquid and gas handling, for medical, process, and industrial applications for OEM and LAB.
The product portfolio consists of several pump families that can easily and cost effectively be adapted and customized to customer requirements and specifications.
Peristaltic pumps, also referred to as peristaltic hose or tube pumps, operate using positive displacement. The fluid is fed through the tubing by rollers that rotate squeezing the tube against the pump housing.
As the roller moves over and past a point on the tubing, it expands to allow more fluid to enter. During operation, at least one roller is used to close the tube, therefore the need for extra valves is eliminated.
Peristaltic pumps are ideal for corrosive and viscous fluids, as the only part of the pump to come into contact with the fluid is the flexible tubing. Depending on the model, the tubing or the head can be easily replaced, while the pump itself remains a maintenance-free component.
