The Scrollvac S 10 and S 15 scroll pumps or spiral pumps are dry-running vacuum generators for laboratory and industrial applications. The scroll pump can be operated as a single pump as well as in pump combinations.
A special coating of the parts coming in contact with the media ensures a chemical resistance, but their functionality is always determined by the respective application. The Scrollvac pumps are equipped with a gas ballast, which also ensures the conveying of vapors up to a certain maximum suction pressure. Should condensate nevertheless form in the pump body, this is easily removed from the pressure port because of the vertical design . The working pressure range extends from coarse to fine vacuum. Through the dry pump operation, the back diffusion of pump oil particles into the suction nozzle of the pump and ultimately into the connected apparatus is avoided. Moreover, there is no requirement to top up oil, replace oil or have an oil mist filter installed, which results in a clean handling of the pump.
This pump ensures a completely dry vacuum and has been specially designed for applications where condensable vapors occur. The integrated gas ballast device ensures the conveying of vapors. Any condensate in the pump body can easily flow out of the pressure port through the vertical design. Due to the special coating of all wetted parts, it is particularly suitable for chemical applications.
